Therapik® on the Small Screen

No Stranger to the Spotlight

Therapik® has had its fair share of moments in the spotlight. Therapik® is no stranger to the attention that comes with being a celebrity on the daytime television circuit, and has managed to remain humble despite the fame. In this blog, we thought we’d share some of the more popular TV appearances Therapik® has made over the years.

Therapik® on The Dr’s

The Emmy Award-winning daytime talk show The Doctors, is hosted by ER physician Dr. Travis Stork and co-hosted by plastic surgeon and reconstructive surgery expert Dr. Andrew Ordon.

Dr. Ordon opens the segment by introducing the product, and offers up a brief demonstration of how the product works. He refers to the process of soothing itchy insect bites using heat as “laser sting treatment.”

Heralded as a new and revolutionary way to end the pain associated with bug and bee stings, the panel of doctors decide they are going to test this bold claim by having one of them “voluntarily” get stung by a bee, right in the studio!

Voluntary being the operative word, as Dr. Stork and a fellow panelist and Pediatrician Dr. Jim Sears engage in a round of Rock, Paper, Scissors to determine who would be the unlucky participant to get stung. Unfortunately for Jim, he would fall on the losing end of that battle, having to endure the sting administered by integration specialist Chris Kleronomos, D.A.O.M.

Needless to say, the demonstration went very well. You can click on the video below to see for yourself. Dr. Ordon was sure to note that Therapik® not only works on bee stings and typical insects like mosquitos, but also works on ticks, fleas, and even jelly fish!

Therapik® on the Today Show

In this segment entitled “Get Started Today,” Al Roker speaks to Jamie Linnindaal about small tech gadgets intended to “take the edge off everyday tasks” for mom’s everywhere who lead an on-the-go lifestyle. After briefly discussing two other products, Jamie excitedly picks up the Therapik®, proudly proclaiming that, for only $13.00, this handy and compact device can take the discomfort away from ANY bug bite.

In a very quick demonstration, Jamie lift Al’s arm while explaining how the product works. All that’s needed is a 9 volt battery to generate enough heat at the tip of the device, to soothe the itch and pain associated with all kinds of insect bites and stings.

Pressing the Therapik® down on the bite for 30 seconds, and the pin is gone! Jamie only really has one critique, making a very clever observation about our old website! You’ll have to watch the video to see just how Jamie burned us.
